  Water Fluoridation - Los Angeles
Beginning October 29,
2007 the MWD will be fluoridating it's water supplies to the
extent that supplemental fluoride for children should be
discontinued. Because many communities within the Los
Angeles area have their own water supplies, or blend their
water with that of the MWD, you may want to verify the
fluoride content in your tap water (your MWD statement has
both a phone & website contact).
The cities of Beverly
Hills, Long Beach, & Los Angeles are already optimally
fluoridated. The cities of Inglewood & Santa Monica plan to
be in the near future.
